Introduction

The magnetic ore separator, also known as a magnetic drum separator, was a device used to separate magnetic iron ore (such as magnetite) from non-magnetic material, such as waste rock and other minerals according to the specific magnetic coefficients of various minerals. The magnetic separator is suitable for wet magnetic separation of hematite, magnetite, limonite, ettringite, antimony ore, iron concentrate, magnetite pyrite, ilmenite and other materials with a particle size of 3 mm or less and iron removal operations of coal, non-metallic minerals, building materials, and other materials.

The magnetic field strength of the magnetic separation barrel is stable and the transmission system is reliable. The equipment can be sized according to customers' needs, and the magnetic field strength can be customized.

Working principle

This wet magnetic drum separator is based on the different magnetic susceptibility between the ore minerals, and do mineral separation by magnetic force. When the slurry into the sorting area of wet magnetic separator, due to different magnetic susceptibility, under the magnetic force, the magnetic particles are adsorbed on the cylinder surface of wet magnetic separator, with the cylinder rotation to the concentrate port of discharge, then from the magnetic system into the concentrate tank by concentrate rinse water. Gangue and weak magnetic minerals cannot be attracted by the magnetic force, under the slurry flow force in the tank, they gravity into tailings discharge pipe in the reverse direction of the cylinder rotating.
